Vyshnavey Paramalingam was called to the Ontario Bar in June 2025 and has experience with a wide variety of civil litigation and corporate disputes. She has appeared before the Ontario Court of Justice, the Superior Court of Justice, and the Ontario Court of Appeal, where she has assisted in advancing matters at various stages of litigation, including trials and appeals.
She completed her Articling at a boutique litigation firm in Toronto, where she gained valuable advocacy and dispute resolution experience across a range of civil and criminal matters. Vyshnavey also holds a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) from Queen’s University Belfast and a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Communication Studies and Political Science from McMaster University.
Prior to her call to the bar, Vyshnavey gained five years of experience in business development and marketing at three large national firms. This experience deepened her understanding of client relationships and the corporate realities underlying disputes, allowing her to ground her legal analysis in practical business insight.
Curious and always seeking new experiences, Vyshnavey loves travelling, counting Japan, Sri Lanka and Vietnam being her favourite destinations so far. She also enjoys exploring new restaurants, and reading, with an ever-growing list of books always on the go.
